This time some hot news flows forth from Nintendo of America's twitter account:Mario fans get excited b/c New Super Mario Bros. 2 is launching for Nintendo #3DS in August!
All the info we have is this tweet and a blurry screenshot, but I'm already immensely excited. Looks like the raccoon tail is coming back (not the tanooki suit like in 3D Land, just the regular raccoon tail!), there's the flying P-meter from SMB3 and those weird rectangular platforms from 3 as well! It's no secret that Super Mario Bros. 3 is my favorite Mario game (nay, my favorite game, period) so the more they pull from Mario's 3rd outing the better, in my opinion. August is pretty close too! Sweet!
