Jay and Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie Has a Trailer!

jsbsgcm

Yup, Jay and Silent Bob are getting a animated movie (which there's been murmurs of for some time now) but for the first time ever, we finally get to see a little bit of it!  It was produced by Jason Mewes himself, and directed by Steve Stark, the guy behind the Smodimations series (and possibly Tony Stark's secret brother!?).  Hit the jump to see...and of course I'll throw in my two cents.

Armor Up for the Iron Man 3 Trailer!

The Iron Man 3 trailer is here and it looks really good. The Avengers apparently left Tony a little messed up and this movie seems to have a darker tone than the others.  I don't even know what else to say because you need to watch it for yourself!! Watch the awesomeness after the jump!

AAUGH! Charlie Brown, Peanuts Gang Headed to Big Screen [News]

Hey, remember how much you loved the Peanuts gang, and all the great stuff they came along with it? Like Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown and all the other great specials and the continuous repeats of the original Charles Schulz strip still running in your local paper, itself its own timeless self contained world where Schulz' genius remains untouched to this day?  Well it's likely the guy that brought the world Ice Age: Continental Drift is about to shit all over it.

Fox is Ready for a Fantastic Four Movie Reboot, Director and Writer Sign On

With the success of Amazing Spider-Man, the Avengers franchise, and Ghost Rider II: The Spirit of Vengeance (OK, maybe not that last one), it was only a matter of time until Hollywood took another look at "Marvel's First Family."

Reports surfaced earlier this week that Josh Trank (Chronicle) has been hired to direct the upcoming Fantastic Four movie reboot, but now it looks like Fox has found a writer as well. Jeremy Slater, who has two films in pre-production but no fiished film credits, is being looked at to pen the film.

Director Drops Daredevil Reboot, Rights May Go Back to Marvel

Reports have been circulating today that director David Slade has dropped the upcoming Daredevil comic movie reboot, due to scheduling issues with filming the pilot episode of NBC's Hannibal. This means that Fox needs to find a director and get the film into production before fall, or risk having the popular property revert back to Marvel (and therefore Disney).

With the not-so-great track record Fox has had with the Daredevil franchise, I wouldn't be surprised if they let this one go back to Marvel. The big question (at least the biggest one on my mind anyways) is how this will effect Marvel's tentative film plans leading up to Avengers 2, and whether or not Daredevil will be included in the major crossovers.

Play the tie-in game for Wreck-It Ralph, Fix-It Felix Jr. Right Now

I'm not really surprised they did this. The movie is about an old video game. If they didn't do it, I'm sure someone else would have. I'm glad they did though, because it's actually pretty good!

Read more about it after the jump!

And The Villains For Iron Man 3 Are Madarin and... Iron Patriot?

According to Latino Review (which is surprisingly apt at breaking geek movie news), the villains Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark will be facing off against in Iron Man 3 will be the Mandarin, played by Ben Kingsley, and Iron Patriot (think Captain America in Iron Man armor), played by James Badge Dale. Guy Pearce is also set to star as Aldrich Killian, a scientist who creates the "Extremis" (liquid) armor and builds an army of super-powered soldiers.

Dale was originally announced as playing Eric Savin, an man who undergoes cybernetic enhancements to become the Robocop-like android Coldblood-7, but seeing as how even a comic nerd like me had trouble getting excited over a film version of Coldblood, this Iron Patriot change might make for a better film.

Now for the part you all care about... yes, there are super-grainy photos of Iron Patriot, thanks to the media site The Superficial. Take a look after the jump!

Got About an Hour and a Half to Spare? Watch the Best Thing Ever!

Ever wish there was a version of Star Wars where all the characters had the voices of your favorite cartoon characters?  How about one where Luke was William Shatner, Greedo was Tony Soprano, and Han Solo was Twilight Sparkle?  All those wishes (and so much more!) come true in this panel from Emerald City Comic-Con.  It's worth watching alone for John Dimaggio's Paul Lind impression.  I honestly thought there was no way I would make it through the whole thing, but once I started I couldn't not finish it!
