That's right! Everyone's favorite secret agent/Captain America fanboy, Agent Coulson, will be coming back to star in ABC's S.H.I.E.L.D. television series. Why is this such a big deal, you ask? "There was never going to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. show without Agent Phil Coulson," said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige during a panel at this years' New York Comic Con. Joss Whedon, writer of the pilot, executive producer of the series, and all-round geek legend added, "He's headlining the S.H.I.E.L.D. show and always was."
As a fan of the films, I am ecstatic that Agent Coulson is coming back in some shape or form, and as a comics fan I have no problem with the return of dead characters, as this is something that happens a lot. I just how the average home audience can get on board as well.
